The biologist and explorer was one of the winners, in 2019, of the Young Champions of the Earth award, given by the United Nations to environmentalists between 18 and 30 years of age, for her commitment to protecting the environment.
He also participated in a scientific expedition along the Okavango basin, exploring, for four months, a route of about 2500 kilometers that passed through Angola and Namibia to Botswana, which resulted in the documentary "Into the Okavango", by the National filmmaker. The JEA official stressed, on the other hand, that the new ruler will need "time and opportunity to apply the big ideas that she has and the necessary reforms", especially considering the "inexperience in the political world". Among the priorities, he highlighted the formulation of appropriate policies for the preservation of ecosystems, the adoption of clean technologies and the improvement of the management of the negative impacts of public works projects and the exploitation of natural resources.
