MINEA represents Angola at the United Nations Water Conference

Angola is participating in the United Nations Conference on Water, taking place between Wednesday and Friday in New York City, in the United States of America (USA), under the motto “Accelerating Action towards a Sustainable Future”.

The United Nations Conference on Water is a high-level meeting that brings together political leaders and experts from several countries to discuss the best solutions for better management of water resources and guaranteeing access to water in different communities.

In New York, the Minister of Energy and Water, João Baptista Borges, who heads the Angolan delegation, has scheduled different meetings and a speech, representing the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, at the International Forum on Water, whose approach is based on the theme "Leadership in Water: United for a sustainable world".

Senior staff from the Auxiliary Bodies of the Vice-President of the Republic, the Ministry of Energy and Water and other bodies that make up the National Water Council, are part of the Angolan delegation.
