In recent days, the Ponte Partida and Ponte da SGT air tickets were restored, in the municipality of Viana, which have been open to pedestrian traffic since March 12, according to a statement from the Government of the Province of Luanda (GPL) to which the VerAngola had access.
Its recovery involved the replacement of all metal floors, on the stairs and on the upper part, where non-slip four millimeter metal plates were placed.
The works also included the application of sun mesh nets, the application of six solar lighting poles in each pedestrian, the reinforcement, with reinforced concrete, of the 12 support pillars of the SGT Bridge, the cleaning of the entire structure, the application of of anti-corrosive zarcão and the normal painting.
The LPG pedestrian recovery and modernization program will extend throughout the province of Luanda, which will allow "a better circulation of pedestrians, both during the day and at night", on those metallic structures, said the officials.
