A brief note, made available on Facebook from the Presidency of the Republic, states that in the late afternoon of last Friday, March 4th, João Lourenço "was at the residence of former President José Eduardo dos Santos, in Miramar, on a visit to courtesy".
In another note, also made available on the Presidency's Facebook, it is advanced that José Eduardo dos Santos will be absent from the country for medical consultations.
The ex-President will travel this Monday to Barcelona, "in the context of the medical care he has received in the Kingdom of Spain".
It should be noted that the former head of state returned to the country last year, in September 2021. After his arrival, João Lourenço and José Eduardo dos Santos talked on the phone.
It is recalled that the President had already paid a courtesy visit to the former head of state, on 24 December last year.
