According to a note from the Ministry of Territorial Administration, to which VerAngola had access, the minister will be accompanied in this act by a delegation made up of ministers, military chiefs, among others.
"The event will be presided over by the Minister of State and head of the Military Household of the President of the Republic, Francisco Pereira Furtado, accompanied by a delegation that includes ministers, military chiefs, national police, representatives of political parties with parliamentary seats and members of the Federation of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland", says the statement.
As part of the event, which this year takes place on Tuesday in the municipality of Negage, the provincial governor of Uíge, José Carvalho da Rocha, will lay a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The inauguration of a school and a medical center in Negage is also planned, says Angop.
This year, the country marks the 64th anniversary of the Day of the Beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation, a date intended to honor the "sons of Angola" who faced Portuguese colonialism.
It is worth remembering that on February 4, 1961, Angolan guerrillas launched attacks, aiming to fight against the Portuguese colonial regime, beginning the fight for the country's liberation.
"February 4, 1961, honor to the sons of Angola who raised their voices and machetes against Portuguese colonialism", recalled the Ministry of Territorial Administration, in a video to which VerAngola had access.
The importance of this day can also be seen in some of the country's monuments and emblematic sites, which were named after this date. This is the case, for example, of the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, the 4 de Fevereiro Historic Landmark and 4 de Fevereiro Avenue.
