Deputies will also vote as a whole, in this session, on the Organic Law of the Courts of Appeal, the Mining and Cryptocurrencies Law and the Anti-Doping Law, as announced by the parliament's first secretary.

Manuel Dembo, who was speaking at the end of the conference of the presidents of the parliamentary groups, which approved the agenda for the February 28 plenary session, noted that the session will also vote in general on the law on the DPA, proposed by the executive.

The new DPA includes the creation of two new provinces, which will join the 18 already existing ones, and 161 new municipalities, totaling 365 municipalities, with the increase of communes and districts across the country.

The Angolan authorities expect that the new Political and Administrative Division of Angola will come into force from 2025.

In the plenary session scheduled for the 28th of this month, deputies will also consider the draft resolution that specifically amends the 1st Specialized Work Committee in the National Assembly, since its president, deputy Reis Júnior, was appointed by the MPLA to lead the parliamentary group.

The ratification of diplomas linked to the Southern African Development Community (SADC, a regional bloc chaired by Angola) and the financial execution report of the General State Budget (OGE) for the third quarter of 2023 are instruments to be considered in this plenary.

Parliament must also consider the activity report of the interparliamentary group of the legislative body for the period 2022-2023 and approve the activity plan of this body for the period 2023-2024, as well as a resolution on the creation of new friendship and solidarity groups of the National Assembly.
