According to the minister, the project is "budgeted at more than 87 million euros and is scheduled for completion in August 2025", says a statement from the provincial government of Zaire, to which VerAngola had access.
Quoted in the note, the head of the Health portfolio indicated that they now have "guaranteed financing from the company Vamed", and that, "through their corresponding banks", they will have "a line of credit that will work for this hospital".
"Now we have guaranteed financing from the company Vamed and, through its correspondent banks, we have a line of credit that will work for this hospital. We have approval from the Court of Auditors and we are already making disbursements and we already have more than 60 percent of German-made equipment for outfitting", she said, quoted in the statement.
The works on the future hospital unit are physically completed in the order of 21 percent, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health, to which VerAngola had access.
On that occasion, the note adds, "the minister received guarantees of the completion of the work for next year, from the contractor, if there are no constraints".
Regarding the visit, Sílvia Lutucuta said that they were there "to monitor the progress of this long-awaited work not only by the population of Zaire, but by the entire country".
According to the guardianship's note, the future Zaire General Hospital will be "a differentiated health unit, which will provide humanized quality services and also with working conditions for professionals".
Third level, the aforementioned hospital will have 290 beds, as well as "intensive care services for adults, pediatrics and neonatal, hemodialysis, rehabilitation, imaging, operating rooms, among others", says the statement.
