Angola thrash Guinea Conakry and guarantees unprecedented qualification in CAN

After having conceded against Egypt, in a game in which they lost 3-0, the national team guaranteed on Sunday the qualification for the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) of futsal.

In the third and final match of group B, the Angolan side thrashed Guinea Conakry 1-5. The goals were divided between Osamar, Prado and Job.

With six points, Angola secured second place in the group and qualified for the next stage of the competition. Egypt qualified at the top of group B with seven points.

The national team secured an unprecedented qualification for the competition's semi-finals, a feat never achieved in the three participations in CAN futsal.

The next challenge for futsal ‘Palancas Negras’ is scheduled for Wednesday, the 5th, against the competition’s host team - Morocco - which ended the group stage in first place in group A, with six points.

In the other semi-final game, the Egyptians face Libya, who finished second in their group with just three points.

The top three finishers guarantee the qualification and the continental representation in the next world of the modality, to take place this year in Lithuania.
