The competition kicked off Tuesday in the Moroccan city of Laayoune. Angola debuted to win this Wednesday against another Portuguese-speaking country: Mozambique.

The national team has always managed to maintain an advantage throughout the game, reaching the interval with a 4-2 partial.

Featured in the match was Mano Sele, who plays in the wing position. The Angolan scored a goal that is highlighted in the international press, already described as "sensational" or "from the other world". Mano Sele's goal was even compared to the goals of Ricardinho, the well-known Portuguese player of the sport.

In the same group as Angola, Egypt beat Guinea Conakry 9-0. The Egyptians will be the next opponents of the national team - with which Angola currently shares the leadership of the group, with three points. The departure is scheduled for this Friday, at 18:30 local time.

Angola aspires to continue to the next phase of the competition - the semi-finals - a feat that it has not managed in previous championships in the sport.

CAN's top three finishers qualify for the Futsal World Cup 2020, to be held in Lithuania.
