The influx of applications to the centrality of Zango 5 was so significant that, on the first day, the website was temporarily down due to “technical failures”. In addition, according to Menos Fios, the Imogestin portal - responsible for the sale of housing - was the most visited website in January in Angola.
So far, about 115 thousand candidates have applied for 2390 residences, divided between apartments and houses.
The closing of the public sale candidacy process (30 percent of total available homes) thus marks the end of the purchase and rental of residences in the centrality. Joaquim Silvestre, Secretary of State for Housing, confirmed to ANGOP that "there will be no more residences available in this urbanization".
The official said that this application process represents the last phase of housing sales in Zango 5, which accounts for 70 percent of the 7964 homes sold.
Applications started at 00:00 on January 27, ending this Wednesday, February 5, at 23:59. All applications, regardless of the submission date, will be treated equally, being chosen through a public draw.
