The conclusion of the first phase of the construction work at the Cabinda Refinery is scheduled for December this year, informed Marcus Weyll, director general of Gemcorp.

:

Regarding the level of physical execution of the works in this phase, the official, quoted by Angop, referred that these are in the order of 26 percent while the financial part is at 100 percent.

Furthermore, the head of Gemcorp - the company responsible for the work - also made it known that all the project's equipment is already at the contract site, as well as seven of the 18 reservoir tanks that will be assembled in the future, writes Angop.

Marcus Weyll was speaking during a press conference in that province, within the scope of a visit by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, who, on the occasion, after having investigated the development of the contract, admitted that it was relevant to have verified the implementation of the project execution schedule.

Cited by Angop, the minister said that they went to the field to assess "the stage of implementation of the project".

"We came to the field to assess the project's implementation stage and give the press and civil society the opportunity to (...) see what is being done", he said, quoted by Angop.

Remember that when the refinery is ready, it will be able to process 60,000 barrels of oil per day.
