The Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX) registered, in the last two years, 21 projects, which amount to 206 million dollars, a responsible of the institution informed this Thursday.

:

AIPEX administrator Sandra Dias dos Santos, who was speaking at the Angola-China Business Forum on Agriculture and Fisheries, held by video conference, said that "there is much more that can be done", expressing openness and willingness to support entrepreneurs at all stages of the investment.

Between 2018 and 2020, according to the data presented, 14 investments were made in the industry sector, worth 190.1 million dollars, three in commerce, worth 8.2 million dollars, one in agriculture, worth 6.5 million dollars, one in construction, worth 550,000 dollars and two in services, worth 250,000 dollars.

Sandra Dias dos Santos presented investment policies and incentives for foreign investors, noting that an investment protection agreement is being negotiated between Angola and China.

The AIPEX administrator said that the Private Investment Law continues to improve and that a third investment regime in the country is under discussion for approval by the National Assembly, which is the contractual one, allowing the negotiation between high capital investors and the State, regarding its benefits.

"The Chinese market is, in the future, the priority market for national exports. We have to increase the national production to be able to export, but I believe that due to the size of the Chinese market we have to take advantage of this possibility. There is already some exportation to be done, but we believe that there is much more that can be done," he said.
