“This distinction is a moment of great pride for Standard Bank of Angola. It is above all the result of the work carried out by our fantastic team, who make an extra effort every day for our customers. It is recognition of the dedication and dedication of our professionals towards the SBA's purpose: Angola is our home and we promote its growth” highlights Luís Teles, CEO of the SBA, in a statement sent to VerAngola.

According to The Banker magazine, “this year the judges were particularly impressed with Standard Bank’s OneFarm platform. Aimed at small farmers and family farmers (the largest employer in the country), the digital platform allows farmers to request micro-loans through a USSD cell phone and register products to sell to a network of buyers”.

Developed in collaboration with the Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Angola - based on a consultation with 1800 farmers - the service is the first in the country that allows farmers to request micro-loans through a fully digital service.

Standard Bank also expanded its network of Ponto Azul bank branches, establishing a partnership with the technological Software Group to expand its network by around 100 agents.
