At the ceremony, Nataniel Domingos, president of the Executive Committee of the Airport Management Company (SGA), considered that the entry of this company in the country will help Angola to recover revenues, which have been lost due to the covid-19 pandemic.

For now Qatar Airways will fly once a week to Angola, with flights to be held on Monday, according to a statement from the company, cited by Angop.
This is the first time the airline flies to Angola, since it was founded.
In 2019, the governments of Angola and Qatar signed six cooperation agreements. Among the agreements, the transport sector that establishes the air, maritime and port connections between the capitals of these two countries stands out.
Qatar Airways belongs to the Qatari government and operates flights to 151 countries around the world. It is also one of six companies with the five stars of Skytrax (a UK consultancy that analyses the aviation market with the aim of electing the best airline).
