Covid-19: Angola registers record of new cases with 3090 infections in 24 hours

The number of new cases continues to rise, with the country registering 3,090 new infections in the last 24 hours. According to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, released this Tuesday, three deaths and 20 recoveries were also reported.

The new cases occurred in the provinces of Luanda (2104), Huambo (550), Huila (106), Cabinda (104), Malanje (72), Moxico (51), Bié (43), Benguela (40), Cuanza South (6), Lunda Sul (6), Lunda Norte (4), Cuando Cubango (3) and Bengo (1).

New infections were registered in patients aged between one month and 98 years, with 1863 males and 1227 females.

In the same period, three women died in the provinces of Luanda (1), Benguela (1) and Malanje (1).

20 recoveries were also reported, of which 19 were in Luanda and one in Cunene.

The laboratories processed 9204 samples by RT-PCR in the last 24 hours with a daily positivity rate of 33.6 percent.

With the most recent data, the country has a total of 76,787 cases, of which 10,985 are active, 1756 deaths and 64,046 recovered.
