According to Franco Mufinda, Secretary of State for Public Health, the greatest number of cases was found in Luanda (1745), followed by the provinces of Zaire (71), Malanje (52), Benguela (23), Huíla (16), Cunene (13), Bié (10), Lunda Norte (9), Lunda Sul (4), Cuanza Norte (1) and Cuanza Sul (1).
Quoted in a note made available on the Government's Facebook, Franco Mufinda also made it known that the new infections were registered in patients aged between three months and 85 years, with 1310 males and 635 females.
In the same period, there were also four deaths, in the provinces of Luanda (2), Cunene (1) and Malanje (1).
10 recoveries were also reported, of which seven in Bié, two in Luanda and one in Cunene.
The laboratories processed, in the last 24 hours, 6333 samples with a daily positivity rate of 30.4 percent.
With the most recent data, the country has a total of 73,697 cases, of which 7918 are active, 1754 deaths and 64,026 recovered.
The official also informed that "that 25 out of every 100 citizens who joined the massive testing campaign that took place this Monday, in Largo das Escolas, Largo da Mutamba and Josina Machel hospital, in Luanda, have tested positive for covid-19".
The campaign continues this Tuesday, at the 30th markets, in Viana, Catinton, urban district of Maianga, and at the Josina Machel hospital.
