In statements to the Agency Lusa, the president of the National Union of the doctors of Angola (SINMEA), Adriano Manuel, said that on the round of negotiations held Tuesday, fundamental points of the claim name, submitted to the employer under September last September were addressed.
Adriano Manuel reported that this Wednesday continued the discussions of the claims that depend on the Ministry of Health, in particular the point that has to improve the working conditions of doctors in the primary, secondary and tertiary sanitary units, for which They ask for the definition of a temporal horizon for its execution.
On the first point of the claim name, which requires the immediate replacement of the President of the SIMMA, compensation for the damage caused by its transfer to the human resources of the Ministry of Health and the Nullity of the Procedure, a 24-hour period was requested to evaluate the proposal for employer.
In question is a disciplinary process moved against Adriano Manuel, a pediatrician, by reporting the death of 19 children of a total of 24 in the emergency bank of the pediatric hospital David Bernardino, with a consequence of the human resources department of the Ministry of Health, justified with the need for mobility of tables.
In view of the requirement, the Ministry of Health proposed for its replacement two hospitals to its choice, the Maternity Lucrecia Paim or the Américo Boavida hospital.
"We requested 24 hours to make this evaluation, consulting the family, some colleagues and the medical class," said Adriano Manuel.
In relation to the fifth and sixth point of the claim name, the union required the presence of decision-makers to say whether or not they are able to give the requested wages.
"And because of this we will summon an assembly where doctors will decide what way to arrive," said the unionist, reiterating that the strike remains.
