BNA: credit to the real economy grew 4.68 percent in November

Commercial banks granted credit to the real economy in the amount of 612 billion kwanzas in November, 19.01 billion kwanzas (4.68 percent) more than in October.

The National Bank of Angola (BNA) states, in a statement, that at the end of November 2021 a total of 24 new credits were disbursed to the real economy sector, under Notice 10/2020, making a total of 369 credits granted, of which 274 with actual disbursements.

According to the central bank, the amount disbursed by commercial banks until November totaled 425.44 billion kwanzas, representing an increase of 19.01 billion kwanzas (4.68 percent) compared to October 2021.

In global terms, underlines the BNA, the amount approved by the banking sector, until the month of November 2021, corresponded to 344.48 percent of the minimum amount to be granted until the end of 2021, with the amount actually disbursed representing 239 .43 percent.

The number of banks that complied with the minimum limit of 2.50 percent of their net assets totaled 17 in the period under review, with emphasis on the banks Milenium Atlântico (BMA), Caixa Geral Angola (BCGA), Comercial Huambo (BCH), of Commerce and Industry (BCI), BCS, of Fomento Angola (BFA), International of Credits (BIC), Standard Bank Angola (SBA), of International Business (BNI), Prestige (BPG), Valor (BVB), Finibanco ( FNB), KEVE, Rural Investment (BIR), YETU, VTB and Micro Finance (BMF).

A total of 369 projects were approved by the commercial banks, corresponding to 83.41 percent of the minimum established, with ten banks standing out which concentrated 74.26 percent of them, namely BAI (Angolan Investment Bank), BNI, BIC , YETU, KEVE, SBA, BCGA, BFA, BCS and BVB.

The banks SBA, BNI, BIC, YETU and KEVE, points out the BNA, have already reached the minimum limit for the number of projects to be financed.
