The opening of this warehouse, according to a statement from the municipal administration of Viana to which VerAngola had access, is considered "another significant step in the expansion" of the operations of the Kibabo Group, which has 40 supermarkets in the country and more than 1500 employees.

"The infrastructure includes a bakery and pastry factory with more than 2000 square meters, offices of 1000 square meters, and essential services such as water, energy and communications integrated into the public network and will employ more than 150 employees", reads the notice.

Several entities were present at the inauguration ceremony, such as the national director of Commerce, Edna Capalo, the municipal administrator of Viana, Demétrio de Sepúlveda, and the president of the Board of Directors (PCA) of Kibabo, Pedro Mateus, who, in this occasion, they highlighted the "importance of the project for strengthening the region's commercial and industrial sector".

The act also served to mark more than 10 years of the group. "One of the highlights of the event was the blowing out of the candles for the 12 years of existence of the Kikabo group and the tributes to the partners", says the statement.

On the occasion, the municipal administrator of Viana expressed satisfaction, considering that the partnership between the municipal administration of Viana and the Kibabo Group justifies "the maxim 'we are a true family', prioritizing employability for young people in the municipality where they settle".

Demétrio de Sepúlveda also asked that the business group "also give opportunities to young people from other municipalities who have the same professional quality as young people from Viana".

The group's PCA made it known that the objective is to "continue investing in Angola", contributing to the country's economy, while Edna Capalo assured "continuous support from the Government of Angola".

Kibabo's 12th anniversary was celebrated last Friday and, in addition to blowing out the candles and inaugurating the warehouse, according to Platinaline, a book was also released that tells the group's trajectory during those years.
