"Under the terms of this partnership, the Caio Training Centre, under the supervision of the provincial government of Cabinda, will be integrated into the Professional Development Programme promoted by Gemcorp Angola and the Sonangol group", states a statement sent to VerAngola, which adds that "this programme foresees the training of more than 5000 young Angolans and adults per year in priority technical areas, with a practical approach and geared towards the real demands of the job market".

In addition, this partnership, the agreement for which was signed this Monday in Cabinda, also includes the complete rehabilitation of the Caio Training Centre.

"This partnership also includes the complete rehabilitation of the Caio Training Centre, namely the modernisation of the infrastructure, installation of updated equipment and review of the teaching content, in line with high standards of quality and effectiveness", reads the note.

In addition, the rehabilitation of the auditorium of the Cabinda High School is also planned. "As part of the commitment to broad cooperation, the auditorium of the Cabinda High School will also be renovated, thus creating a multifunctional space for educational and training activities and events linked to the project", the statement said.

The governor of Cabinda, Susana Abreu, who was present at the ceremony, considered that by placing "vocational training at the centre of public policy" we are investing in people and preparing young people for the future: "By placing vocational training at the centre of public policy, we are investing in people, preparing young people for the challenges of the future and creating solid foundations for progress and inclusion. This partnership represents a decisive step in this direction".

"This partnership reflects our commitment to the future of Angola", said Arsénio Chicolomuenho, director of Gemcorp Angola.

"We believe that professional training is one of the most effective levers for economic and social development, and we are committed to providing young people in Cabinda with the necessary tools to lead this transformation," he added, quoted in the note.
