The information was given by the general director of the Petroleum Regulatory Institute (IRDP), Luís Fernandes, during a work meeting held by the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas in Cuanza Norte.
According to the person in charge, cited in a statement from the ministry, to which VerAngola had access, the municipalities of Quiculungo and Bolongongo, "until now devoid of gas stations", will have "this need met soon", being in an "advanced phase of construction" fuel pumps.
On the occasion, the official said that, currently, Cuanza Norte has 17 gas stations in several municipalities, but only 15 are operational: "To date, the province has seventeen gas stations in different municipalities, of which only fifteen are in operation".
The meeting was attended by the "governor and his team, as well as economic actors linked to the mining industry and commercialization of hydrocarbon derivatives", and topics were presented such as "The geological-mining potential of Cuanza Norte (IGEO), procedures for the granting of mining rights and the number of licenses to mining companies operating in the province (ANRM) and the decentralization of powers from central bodies to the provinces (DNRM)".
"A workshop on the mining sector could take place next year, in Ndalatando, capital of Cuanza Norte, according to the agreement reached by Minister Diamantino Azevedo and Governor João Diogo Gaspar", the statement also says.
