Angolan researcher believes that “the time has come” to “carry out the production of antibiotics” in the country

The Angolan researcher Teresa Matoso Victor considered that “the time has come” to produce antibiotics in the country, having appealed to the scientific community to work in multidisciplinary teams.

:

"I hereby appeal to the scientific community that the time has come for us to work in multidisciplinary teams for this project of mine, so that we can carry out the production of antibiotics here in our country, using this microporous material invented by an Angolan", he said, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

The researcher also mentioned that she "would really like" for them to work with several specialists who understand the "sensor production perspective": "I would really like us to work with several specialists who understand the sensor production perspective".

"These sensors for measuring parameters on site, because in the project, parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen or optical density were not made on site, so the next step for us to be able to think about industrialization will have to be designing these sensors so that we can make measurements on site", he added, quoted by RNA.

It should be noted that Teresa Matoso Victor was recently awarded the prize for best international researcher by the International Best Researcher Awards.
