The medals, three gold, two silver and nine bronze, were won by Angolan creators, in the "University" category, for the quality of the projects presented that aim to minimize the country's social problems.

A gold medal was awarded to the project "Acervo Seguro" developed by academics Diogo Francisco Manuel and Mateus Padoca, from the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Universidade Agostinho Neto (UAN).

The "Acervo Seguro" project is an application that allows efficient handling of cases of domestic violence, with a view to reducing the rate of deaths from this practice or any other type of violence.

The second gold medal was awarded to the creators of the "Integrated Pest Control System", namely Gabriel Patrício, Henriques Fernando, Felizardo Rocha, António Alberto, Aurora Miquilina Correia, Amélia Cazalma, Luciano Chingui, Jamite Ngola and Inácio Lucas, assigned to the Methodist University of Angola.

The system is designed to keep pests or diseases at equilibrium levels that do not endanger the environment, health, crops and farmers' work.

The third gold medal went to the creator Ricardo Augusto Antunes Figueiredo for the project "Permanent Air Purifier", a device that can be used in schools and offices to purify the environment of these spaces.

Authored by academics Mateus Padoca Calado, Amélio Jorge, Zenildo Araújo and Neleosmar Cambanga, from the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Agostinho Neto University, the "Kubahna" project deserved a silver medal. This allows a quick response to people in need and avoids fraud and duplication of donations.

The organization of the Ideas, Innovation and New Products Fair "IENA 2022" highlighted with bronze medals the projects "Arquivo Web Angola", "Diakako Luzingu, Mais Vida", "Ndjukulu, Safe Mobility", "Using Electronic Waste from the perspective of of the 4Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle, rethink)", "Intelligent Traffic Light with Holographic Projection", "Production of Drinking Water, from salt water and other sources", "Quidiuris Platform", "ProjSeg - Safe Projection" and the project "The TCHIWA – Soil Agricultural Aptitude Assessment System".

Despite winning the 14 medals and the support received by Sociedade Mineira de Catoca, the head of the Angolan delegation represented at Feira, Padoca Calado, considered it important to have more support, from public and private institutions, as well as more programs to support young academics who want to participate with innovative ideas that contribute to the development of the country and the world.

"Our sincere thanks to the Mineira Catoca society for sponsoring the tickets, for the essential and permanent support. We hope to always count on the support of Catoca, as well as other institutions that bet on Science, Research and Innovation for the sustainable development of the country," said Padoca Calado.
