According to figures dated 21 November from the website GlobalPetrolPrices, regarding gasoline, the 'gold' belongs to Venezuela (each liter worth 0.016 dollars). Also on the podium are Libya (0.031 dollars per litre) followed by Iran (0.053 dollars per litre).
Although it is off the podium, Angola is in the top 5 countries with the cheapest gasoline, with each liter of this fuel being sold at 0.315 dollars.
Regarding diesel, Angola is in the top 10, occupying the sixth position on the list. According to the data, each liter of this fuel was sold at 0.266 dollars.
Iran is the country with the cheapest diesel in the world (0.011 dollars per litre), followed by Venezuela (0.016 dollars per litre) and Libya (0.031 dollars per litre).
According to Expansão, if fuels were not subsidized, a liter of gasoline would be sold at 0.79 dollars while the real cost of a liter of diesel would be 0.80 dollars.
Thus, the same newspaper adds, without the application of subsidies, the country would be in position 23 on the list of cheapest gasoline, as well as in the same position in the oil ranking.
Globally, the average price of gasoline in the world is around 1.31 dollars per liter, while for diesel the average price is around 1.35 dollars per litre.
