Several citizens barred from entering establishments due to lack of vaccination certificate against covid-19

The obligation to present a digital certificate of vaccination against covid-19 to enter public and private places in the country has left many citizens at the doors of establishments.

:

The measure came into force on November 1st and is already being complied with. In Luanda, Domingas Simão, a civil servant, revealed that only citizens who present a vaccination card or certificate have access to the facilities where she works.

"Everyone who came in to deal with the ticket has a vaccination card," the employee began by telling the National Radio of Angola (RNA), adding that without the certificate "they cannot enter".

In turn, Camilo Júnior, hotel manager at Lunda Norte, stated that they are already complying with the decree: "As the decree has already been launched, we have also complied with the formality and as the decree says".

He also called for everyone to comply with safety standards and get vaccinated so that "all of us are prevented for this disease".

According to RNA, in the services of the registry office in Benguela, several citizens were barred from entering due to lack of vaccination documents. While in Cuanza Norte, there are records of several students who were prevented from attending classes.

The measure is not just about access to places in the country, it also covers citizens who apply for public tenders in Education, Health and Defense Forces.
