For the competition to progress, the clubs must approve the proposal presented. According to Angop, there is still no concrete date to discuss the proposal, however, the possibility of starting Girabola in December will be discussed soon in a meeting with the representatives of the Girabola clubs and the commission for the creation of the Angolan Football League.
The proposal foresees that the 1st round of the championship will take place on Saturday, 19, and the 2nd round will take place on 27 December, Sunday.
According to an official source, in declarations to Angop, there is an "obligation" for Girabola to start before the end of the year, with a minimum duration of six months, to comply with the regulations imposed by FIFA taking into account the new normal imposed by covid-19.
For now, the spaces that will host the competition are being surveyed.
On the 1st day of Girabola, the highlight is the 1.º de Agosto match against Interclube and Petro de Luanda who will dispute the ball with FC Bravos do Maquis.
