The General State Budget (OGE) for 2025, which will now be submitted to the National Assembly, "maintains the commitment to increase public sector salaries by increasing the wage bill by 25 percent and ensures compliance with the new provisions on the national minimum wage", according to the statement released at the end of the Council of Ministers meeting that considered the document.
As part of the implementation of the OGE 2025, the executive also proposes measures to support investment in food security, through the restructuring and dynamization of the cereal and grain sector and strengthening agricultural mechanization, with regard to family farming production.
It also includes measures to support start-ups and companies, measures to accelerate public investment and stimulate growth and job creation, and to strengthen the School Meals Program.
The proposed General State Budget (OGE), a document that sets the amounts of revenue to be collected and the spending limits to be made in 2025, still needs to be voted on and approved by parliament.
The 2024 OGE forecast revenues and expenditures of 24.7 billion kwanzas.
