Erdogan arrived in Luanda in the late afternoon and will start the official program this Monday, being received at the Presidential Palace by his counterpart, João Lourenço, in a ceremony that will include military honors and the firing of 21 cannon salutes, according to a press release from the press services of the President of the Republic.
"The two heads of state will hold a private meeting, while the respective ministerial delegations will meet to discuss specific aspects of bilateral relations," according to the document, adding that, at the end of the meeting, agreements will be signed of cooperation.
The Turkish President is also going to the National Assembly to participate in a plenary with the nation's deputies, convened in his honor.
Erdogan will also visit the Dr. António Agostinho Neto Memorial to place a wreath of flowers in the sarcophagus of the first President of Angola.
Also on Monday, Erdogan participates in a business forum and a gala dinner at the Presidential Palace, before leaving Luanda, the following day, at mid-morning.
