The announcement was made this Tuesday during the forum on the Future of Hospitality in Africa, taking place in Cape Town (South Africa) and where "the world's largest hotel managers will meet to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the industry", according to a statement from the Ministry of Tourism, to which VerAngola had access.
"On 17 June, the prestigious Hilton hotel group officially announced its entry into the Angolan market, with the opening of three new hotels: two in the Province of Luanda and one in the Province of Cabinda", the statement reads.
In Angola, the services of this hotel group will be distributed by the hotels 'Hilton Luanda Hotel Godinho', 'Hilton Garden Inn Luanda Airport' and 'DoubleTree by Hilton Cabinda Futila Residences'.
"Hilton's new developments will bring globally recognised brands to Angola, offering more than 400 rooms and around 290 apartments, as well as conference centres, leisure facilities, restaurants and other world-class services, distributed across the 'Hilton Luanda Hotel Godinho', 'Hilton Garden Inn Luanda Airport' and 'DoubleTree by Hilton Cabinda Futila Residences' units", reads the statement.
The ministry also adds that "this new milestone for the hotel sector in Angola is the result of a partnership between the Hilton group and national investors, in line with the Angolan government's objectives of diversifying the economy and promoting sustainable tourism".
It is worth remembering that, in March of this year, a delegation from the Hilton group visited Angola with the aim of identifying investment opportunities in the tourism and hotel sector.
