United Arab Emirates ready to move forward with construction of five-star hotels in Luanda

Arab investment promoters, representing the United Arab Emirates, want to move forward with the construction of five-star hotels and resorts in Angola. The proposal was presented at a meeting with the governor of Luanda, Joana Lina, which took place last Wednesday, and aimed to analyze the position of the Provincial Government of Luanda (GPL) "regarding the investments that Arab promoters intend to make in the country, specifically in Luanda.

The investors also want to bet "in areas such as agriculture and transport", however, the meeting was directed to the presentation of the proposal to build the hotel units.

According to a note published on Facebook GPL, "the construction of these units, once the desired conditions are met, will last 18 months".

Joana Lina, who received Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum at the LPG Noble Hall, said she was happy with the interest in investing in the country and was "willing to collaborate to make the project come true.

However, the governor made it clear that "although it is a project of great impact, it should rather be analyzed by specialized technicians, by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment, at the same time that the need to include more investors should be observed".

The governor of Luanda "assured that a technical team will be created to work on the proposal and give feedback as soon as possible.

Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum also showed interest in visiting Angolan rivers and forests, expressing "readiness to invest in tourism" of the country.

The construction proposal, for now, will start in Luanda and only then will "move to other points of the country," indicates the note.

During the visit, as a courtesy, Joana Lina offered the key to the city of Luanda and a "representative symbol of Kianda, symbol of the capital". The Sheikh "offered a book of the greatest leaders of Dubai where they tell the 50 facts that allowed him to transform that tourist reference point in the power that is today.
