According to Franco Mufinda, 12 cases were reported in Kwanza Sul, four in Bengo, two in Benguela, one in Huíla, another in Uíje, another in Huambo and 171 in Luanda, aged between three and 77.
Among the infected, 108 are male and 84 female.
In the last 24 hours, three angolans, two from Benguela and one from Luanda, aged 63, 65 and 69, did not resist the disease, but 17 others recovered.
Angola thus totals 6680 cases, with 222 deaths, 2761 recovered and 2697 active, 13 in critical condition and 19 severe.
A total of 2713 samples were processed in the last 24 hours, in an accumulated of 120,869 tests.
Franco Mufinda also presented the results of the random testing of one thousand students in ten schools, of which 56 were reactive to serological (rapid) testing, although only four were positive in the confirmatory test of the disease (RT-PCR).
The covid-19 pandemic has already caused more than one million eighty-one thousand deaths and more than 37.8 million cases of infection worldwide, according to a balance sheet made by the French agency AFP.
The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected at the end of December in Wuhan, a city in central China.
In Africa, there are 38,600 confirmed deaths in more than 1.5 million people infected in 55 countries, according to the most recent statistics about the pandemic in that continent.
Angola has 222 deaths and 6680 cases, followed by Equatorial Guinea (83 deaths and 5066 cases), Cape Verde (77 deaths and 7254 cases), Mozambique (73 deaths and 10,258 cases), Guinea-Bissau (41 deaths and 2389 cases) and São Tomé and Príncipe (15 deaths and 928 cases).
