Covid-19: country announces another 120 cases of infection and recovers 27 patients

The Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda announced this Sunday another 120 cases of covid-19 infection in the country, with no deaths to register in the last 24 hours.

Three infections were reported in Cabinda, 18 in Zaire and 99 in Luanda, in individuals aged 1 to 82 years, 76 male and 44 female.

In the last 24 hours, 27 people have been recovered, the secretary of state added in the daily epidemiological balance in Luanda.

Angola currently has 6366 cases, with 218 deaths, 2743 recovered, 3405 active, with 12 in critical condition, 20 in severe, 87 moderate, 429 non-serious and 2857 asymptomatic.

The laboratories processed 2348 samples, with an accumulated total of 115,751.

The covid-19 pandemic has already caused more than one million seventy-four thousand deaths and more than 37.2 million cases of infection worldwide, according to a balance sheet made by the French agency AFP.

The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected at the end of December in Wuhan, a city in central China.
