Sanitary fence remains in Luanda but changes authorization for negative test

The Government maintains, for another month, the health fence in the province of Luanda, as well as the national fence, which continues to have as a prerequisite the realization of the RT-PRC test for the new coronavirus.

The information was advanced by the head of the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, in the update of the situation of public calamity, within the scope of the rules of containment and combating the covid-19 pandemic, which will be in force until 7 November.

Adão de Almeida said that the new rule allows the entry and exit of Luanda, without the need for authorization, only being mandatory to carry out a test, with a negative result, for the movement of people.

The official said that the health fence for Luanda has been the subject of much discussion and evaluation, with regard to the epidemiological profile, stressing that just over 90 percent of the cases remain concentrated in Luanda, which is the only one still in circulation of the virus, so it continues to recommend maintaining the fence, to prevent expansion to other provinces.

According to Adão de Almeida, the exceptions to the entry and exit of the territory remain, namely the return of national citizens abroad, the arrival of foreign professionals or foreign citizens with work or residence visas in Angola.

Official travel is also permitted, for humanitarian aid and for the entry and exit of patients in situations of medical emergency, and the transfer of corpses from Angola to other States and vice versa remains prohibited, whenever the cause of death is 19.

Entrances to Angola when made by air, as part of the resumption of flights, are made without the need for authorization, depending on the completion of a pre-departure RT-PCR test, carried out 72 hours before the trip, filling in a registration form and the signing of a term of commitment regarding compliance with the various rules.
