According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, the cases were registered in the provinces of Huíla (1), Bengo (1) and the rest in Luanda (140), capital of Angola, being 87 men and 85 women, with ages ranging from 4 to 82 years.
In the last 24 hours, 141 patients have been reported as recovered, with 2082 people cured and 2847 active, of which 16 are in critical condition, 15 severe, 36 moderate, 101 mild and 2679 asymptomatic.
In the treatment centers, 482 patients are being assisted.
Regarding testing, 1123 samples were processed in the last 24 hours, of which 142 were positive, pointing the cumulative to 92,633 samples processed, of which 5114 were positive.
A comparative table of the last two months on new cases, deaths and recovery, indicates that in August 1490 new cases were registered, while in September 2243, an increase of 753 cases.
Regarding deaths, August registered 54 deaths and September 74.
"As for the deaths, comparing the two months there was an increase in the order of 37 per cent," said the ruler, pointing out that as for the recovered, although August registered 1490 cases, 460 people (30 per cent) were recovered, and in September 857 patients (38 per cent) were recovered.
"Since the beginning of the pandemic in our country in March, to date, looking at the pediatric group, of the 185 deaths so far we have only four children, aged 10 to 18 years, mostly with some basic diseases," said Franco Mufinda.
The covid-19 pandemic has already caused more than a million deaths and more than 34 million cases of infection worldwide, according to a review by the French agency AFP.
In Africa, there are 35,962 confirmed deaths in more than 1.4 million infected in 55 countries, according to the latest pandemic statistics on the continent.
The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected at the end of December in Wuhan, a city in central China.
After Europe succeeded China as the center of the pandemic in February, the American continent now has the most confirmed cases and the most deaths.
