The seizure took place in the commune of Luvo, more specifically in the village of Ndebo.
The fuel in question was being transported on board seven Toyota vehicles of different models, without any document from an authorised dealer or official purchase of the product and in a camouflaged manner, to deceive the authorities, according to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior to which VerAngola had access.
The goods in question came from the municipality of M'banza Kongo, bound for the commune of Luvo, presumably to be smuggled across the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Given the seriousness of the act, the criminal investigation bodies are continuing their investigations in order to arrest the owners of the smuggled fuel and hold them accountable.
