Pumangol launches payment method via QR code

Pumangol has launched a new payment method via QR code. This new service, which allows customers to pay for fuel using a QR code, using the Multicaixa Express app, is already available at 27 stations in Luanda, but the company wants to extend the service to all its service stations.

According to the company, in a statement sent to VerAngola, the new service was developed by EMIS in partnership with Pumangol and Banco Millenium Atlântico.

For now, the company, "which has established itself as a pioneer in its sector by introducing this new form of payment at gas stations", says that this technology is already available at 27 stations in the capital, offering customers a "faster and more convenient payment experience".

However, the idea is to make this technology available at all of its stations. "With the aim of making this technology accessible to a greater number of people, Pumangol plans to implement the service at all of its gas stations nationwide", reads the statement.

According to Pumangol's CFO and deputy general manager, Caetano Pinto, the implementation of this new technology is a significant milestone for both the company and the industry in general.

Quoted in the note, the person in charge said they were excited to offer customers a "convenient", secure payment method that is in line with the "latest technological trends".

"We are excited to offer our customers a convenient, secure payment method that is in line with the latest technological trends. We will continue to seek new opportunities to improve our customers' experience and make the fueling process even more efficient", he pointed out.

"From now on, the rule is simple: fill up, scan, empty. The customer will only have to fill up the tank, scan the QR Code through the Multicaixa Express App, confirm the amount to be paid and continue their journey with peace of mind. This service eliminates the need to handle cash or use payment cards, providing greater convenience and security for all customers", explained Caetano Pinto.

According to the company's note, customers can find this payment service via QR code at the gas stations in Patriota, Artesanato, Autoestrada Km27, Baia de Luanda, Benfica Autoestrada, Cambamba, Elavoko, Estádio 11 de Novembro, Estalagem, Gamek, Hospital Geral, Imbomdeiro, Kilamba Kiaxi, Mabor 14, Nova Vida, Novo Aeroporto, Por do Sol, Praça Madeira, Ramiros, Rocha Pinto, São Paulo, Talatona, Viana Km 30, Zanca, Zango, ZEE and Zona Verde.
