The coach of Petro de Luanda, Alexandre Santos, congratulated the opposing team for winning the trophy, which opened the 2021/22 sporting season.

"Congratulations to Sagrada Esperança for the victory, although we were better, we were stronger, we were more consistent, but when you decide the game on penalties, anything can happen" said the coach.

Coach Roque Sapiri, working for Sagrada Esperança, was happy to win the unprecedented trophy.

"The most important thing was to win our first trophy. Congratulations to my players," he said.

With this triumph, Sagrada Esperança won the second trophy in two months, after beating the same opponent, by 1-0, in the game that decided the title of the last edition of the national football championship, in Luanda.
