The previous decree was to be in force until September 6, but the Executive decided to bring forward the introduction of new measures, taking into account the positive evolution of the spread of covid-19 and the need to "continue the gradual return of the economic activities most directly affected by the pandemic," with particular attention to the return of interprovincial mobility.

In addition to the lifting of the sanitary fence in Luanda, imposed in March 2020 when the first cases appeared in the country, the law, which came into force on September 1 and lasts until September 30 of the same month, brought news with regard to quarantine, which until now was imposed on all travelers returning from abroad, and which will now only continue to be applied to those who do not have the full vaccination, maintaining the requirement for pre- and post-disembarkation testing.

Non-vaccinated citizens, nationals or foreigners, are required to comply with home quarantine of up to seven days.

The law maintains the temporary ban on entry of citizens from Brazil or India, with the exception of Angolans or foreign residents who, in case of origin or transit in any of these countries, are required to observe institutional quarantine, subject to state funding.

The need to present a serological test with negative results to enter and leave the provinces with community circulation of the SARS CoV2 virus also remains valid for 7 days, as well as for boarding on domestic flights.

Restaurants are still open until 10 pm, and nightclubs are not allowed to operate.

Public services, transportation, and commerce and services will remain with 75 percent of the work force, and school activities will also begin according to the previous rules.

Markets and religious activities can still be held every day of the week, and the guidelines for activities and meetings held indoors, which must not exceed 50 percent of the room's capacity, will be maintained.

In open space, it is mandatory to observe physical distance and wear masks, rules that apply to political and mass activities held on public roads, such as demonstrations and rallies.
