Unitel customers will be able to use Multicaixa Express service without spending data

Unitel customers will be able to start using the Multicaixa Express service without spending mobile data. According to EMIS, cited in a statement from the National Bank of Angola (BNA), the measure results from a sponsorship obtained by the company from Unitel.

"EMIS (Empresa Interbancária de Serviços) announces that it has obtained the high patronage of UNITEL, allowing the Multicaixa Express Channel to be available without consumption of mobile telecommunications data for the users of its network," the BNA note reads.

The BNA clarifies that the measure is framed within the "effective implementation of the new Angolan Payment System Law, as well as the complementary regulation on the convenient, safe and efficient provision of payment services".

Multicaixa Express allows its users to associate cards and make payments, consultations, withdrawals and transfers via cell phone.

To use this channel, users need to be connected to the Internet and can, through the cell phone, make all kinds of payments, such as paying services (water, electricity, internet, among others), charge the phone, see their balance and movements, among others.
