According to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ana Paula do Sacramento, the platform that aims to create a database of the registration of youth and student organizations in the country "will be an important instrument of associative management.

The creation of this electronic platform, already available at raje.gov.ao, is part of the "creation of objective conditions to promote the participation of youth in public life".

According to the governor, the conception of this electronic mechanism, which arises to "identify, certify and support youth activities, is one of the obligations of the Angolan executive assumed in the National Youth Policy".

"And it will allow a better articulation of the youth and student associative movement, its involvement in the great objectives of participatory democracy and social development among institutions obeying the principle of transversality," she said.

The platform, she explained, "aims to ensure better management of youth organizations so that it is possible to know their associative dynamics, within the legal framework and at the organizational level based on statutory instruments".

"To ensure the effectiveness of the registration database of youth associations, a specific regulation will be implemented that will define the profile and scope of each association", she noted.

Without specifying the current number of legally constituted youth associations, the minister also made it known that only "associations, duly recognized, integrated mainly by young people between 14 and 35 years of age" will be qualified in the aforementioned regulation.

The fulfillment of cycles of mandates renewal meetings is also among the requirements.

"Thus, the country is entering a new era, in the sphere of the youth and student associative movement, which will be marked by a dynamic monitoring of the country's youth associations and contemplates the engagement of various sectors interested in youth welfare," she stressed.

The platform, under the management of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was developed in partnership with the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication of Angola.

The presentation ceremony took place in the auditorium of the Angolan Ministry of Public Administration, Labour and Social Security, in Luanda, and was attended by several youth leaders and leaders of sports federations.
