According to the official, the event will last approximately three hours and will be divided into two main moments: a civic parade and a display of the various military branches.
Teresa Quivienguele, speaking as coordinator of the technical group after the 12th regular meeting of the Interministerial Commission for the Organization of Commemorative Activities of the Dipanda Festival, explained that the parade will feature approximately 6000 participants from various areas of Angolan society, representing culture and art, education, the economy, industry, and Angola's history over the last 50 years, writes Angop.
The second part of the event will feature a demonstration of the various military branches, with the presentation of military technology, which will involve approximately 4000 participants from the Angolan Armed Forces and the National Police.
In addition to this event, other activities are also planned: an ecumenical service scheduled for the 8th, as well as a musical and cultural concert on the 10th. This concert, according to Angop, will take place in the Bay of Luanda and is expected to feature a fireworks display.
The year 2025 has been marked by various activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of independence, including ceremonies honoring figures who contributed to Angola's independence. Another notable event will be an "out-of-season" Carnival.
As part of the country's 50th independence celebrations, according to Pedro Chissanga, Director of Cultural Action at the Ministry of Culture, a special edition of Carnival will be held on September 13th.
The groups that won the last edition of Carnival in all provinces will participate in this edition, which will take place on Nova Marginal.
"We are preparing all the conditions. We have information that the groups throughout the country are preparing well. We are waiting for the date to arrive so that we can have a unique parade, as it will be the first in this format, and that it will truly be a moment of unity and national reconciliation," he said, quoted by Angop.
Among other aspects, he said that access to the event will be available through two options: admission and invitation, and that ticketing will be announced in due course.
