The company closed the 2023 financial year with a gross premium volume of 46,698.6 million kwanzas, representing a growth of 26.9 percent compared to the previous year.
With a record of growth in several indicators, Fidelidade maintains its leading position in the automobile segment, with 24.24 percent, has more than 130 thousand customers and close to 100 thousand cars circulate with Fidelidade insurance.
Positioned as the third largest insurer in the country, Fidelidade occupies third position in the Health and Work Accidents segments, with 14.13 percent and 12.53 percent market share, respectively.
In terms of development, Fidelidade continues to invest in its strategy of innovation and digital presence. Other milestones include the recent launch of online contracting simulators (Auto, Life and Work Accidents), a reserved customer area and the myFidelidade APP. The latter allows customers to manage their insurance quickly and easily, wherever they are, via mobile phone or computer.
In the Angolan market for 12 years and now in all 18 provinces, Fidelidade has a complete range of insurance products, including Auto, Health, Life, Work Accidents, Multi-risk, Transported Goods, among others. Fidelidade's shareholder structure includes the participation of a large insurance and financial group, which has over 200 years of history and an international presence.
To support its ambition and launch the next steps for the future, Fidelidade Angola has a new management structure, led by António Noronha, as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has over 40 years of experience in banking and insurance and has been a director of the Fidelidade Group since 2007.
The senior leadership is also made up of Luis Alves, current executive director, now appointed president of the Executive Committee. With more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry and in the areas of assistance and health, he assumed leadership of several international operations of the Fidelidade Group. From 2021 to 2024, he was executive director of Fidelidade Angola, assuming responsibility for the Financial, Investments, Information Systems, Operations and Legal departments.
Also part of this new structure are Jessica von Haff, current marketing director, appointed executive director; Elizabeth Isidoro, successful businesswoman, new non-executive director; and Manuel Brandão, appointed independent director, in line with the new law on insurance activity.
In turn, Henrique de Sousa and André Cardoso maintain their roles as members of the Board of Directors.
Following the new appointments, José Alvarez Quintero as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Armando Mota as Chairman of the Executive Committee and Jaime de Freitas and Luis Marques, as members of the Board of Directors, ceased their duties.
