Using his Instagram page, the Angolan announced the nomination: "I am pleased to announce that I have been nominated for a prestigious MBCC award", began by writing Henrique Sungo.

"The MBCC Awards is a national awards ceremony that recognizes and celebrates unsung heroes in business and the community," he adds.

In the publication, Henrique Sungo also makes an appeal to vote in order to be able to advance to the next stage. "To move to the next stage, I need your help. Please vote for Henrique Sungo in the "Most Inspirational Person of the Year" category at www.mbccawards.com/vote - it literally takes two seconds. Thank you," he wrote.

Speaking to Jornal de Angola, the Angolan filmmaker and writer said he was "grateful for this nomination".

"We, the PALOP and Angolans in particular, have little expression in terms of representation in the United Kingdom. However, honoring Angolans is a solemn sign that they have eyes on us", he added, quoted by Jornal de Angola.

It should be noted that the Angolan, in addition to the production of films and documentaries through the production company Santano Production Limited, also adds to his curriculum the publication of four books.

The event, according to the same newspaper, will take place on the 2nd of December, in England, in the city of Birmingham.
