Angolan producer Henrique Sungo in the UK debuts mini-series on YouTube

Production company Santano, owned by Angolan Henrique Sungo and Sao Tomean Filipe Anjos, both resident in the United Kingdom, premiered a fiction mini-series on the YouTube platform on Sunday.

Entitled "Tray São", a play on the names of the two main characters that together read "betrayal", the series focuses on the story of a love triangle starring Ibraim Candido, Luana Sequeira and Maisa Ribeiro.

Consisting of five episodes of 10 to 12 minutes in length, the series is in Portuguese, with subtitles in English and Spanish.

The cast includes actors with origins in Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Angola, Equatorial Guinea and Cape Verde.

"We had a lot of support from friends, but the funding is our own. The 'casting' went very well and the actors fit well into the story. The biggest difficulty was the weather factors, because many scenes were filmed outside, when it was cold", said Henrique Sungo.

The producer, who also participates in the series, said that an episode will be broadcast every Sunday on the producer's channel and that he has "very high expectations" of a large number of views, taking into account not only the "quality of image and content", but also the enthusiasm they have received after the presentation.

According to this Angolan, they have already received interest from multimedia platforms in Angola, Spain and the United Kingdom to reproduce the series, filmed between London and Malaga, in Spain.

Santano Productions was created after the distinction of the documentary "O Vírus Inesperado", produced by Sungo and Filipe Anjos, about the first confinement of the covid-19 pandemic, with the Jury Prize for Short Documentary at the London ArtHouse Film Festival 2020.

In editing are seven other works, including documentaries and short films, filmed during 2021.
