The opening ceremony – which took place last Thursday, 18 August – was presided over by the director of the Provincial Health Office in Lunda Sul, Viegas de Almeida, who cut the ribbon.
Representatives of the Provincial Government, the brand ambassador, Sérgio Rodrigues, the director of Human Resources at Centrooptico, Arlete Clemente, among others, were also present.
The new store had an investment of 300 million kwanzas, and 12 new employees were hired. The hired employees had 50 hours of theoretical training and a month of practical training in the store, according to a statement sent to VerAngola.
According to Arlete Clemente, director of Human Resources, "the priority was to recruit at the provincial level, with a view to contributing to the development of Lunda Sul, providing opportunities for young people to work and grow with Centrooptico".
The space has 110 square meters and features an area for displaying frames, diagnostic tests, two clinical offices and a laboratory, offering services such as optometry consultations, contactology and diagnostic tests.
The new store is located at Shoprite de Saurimo and is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
