IGAPE moves forward to open proposals for the privatization of Infotur hotels

Privatizations are advancing in the country, and this Thursday the Institute for the Management of State Assets and Participations (IGAPE) announced the public opening of proposals for the privatization of Infotur hotels.

:

In a statement made available on the institute's website, it states that, within the scope of Public Tender No. 04/2021, opened by Order No. 2178/21 of 7 June, of the Ministry of Finance, the Negotiation Committee for Privatization marked the Public Act of Opening of Proposals for next Monday, 23rd of August.

The opening of proposals will take place virtually, via the 'Zoom' platform, from 10:30 am. Candidates and those interested in participating in the session can register now.

It should be remembered that the public tender for the privatization of three hotels of the Institute for the Promotion of Tourism (Infotur) opened on 21 June. However, in mid-July, IGAPE announced that the deadline to apply for privatization had been extended by another 30 days, in order to give more investors the opportunity to participate in the act. The final deadline for submission of applications was thus set for 20 August.

Within the scope of the Privatization Program (Propriv) the Infotur hotels in Benguela, Huíla and Namibe will be sold. The privatization of the three hotels will be carried out "through a public tender for the Assignment of Exploration and Management Rights, in a contract that will have a duration of 12 years with the option to buy at the end of the contract", says IGAPE.

The hotel units located in the provinces of Benguela and Huíla have 132 rooms, and the Namibe unit has 126 rooms. These last two hotels are operational, with a three-star category and located in the center of their respective cities.
