Portuguese Ivo Campos resigns as coach at Interclube

Interclube announced this Monday, in a statement, the departure of Portuguese coach Ivo Campos from the technical command of the team, after two years of contract, which expired on Saturday.

:

Speaking to the Lusa agency, Ivo Campos revealed that he did not accept to renew the contract due to the salary reduction proposal, and also because he understands that the new project presented by the club's board did not meet his expectations.

Ivo said that he makes Interclube extremely proud of the work developed, over the past two years, as head coach.
He pointed to the team's return to African competitions as one of the goals achieved, the result of sixth place, with 44 points, achieved at Girabola, which ended on Saturday.

The Portuguese coach said that he will remain in Luanda, where he lives with his Angolan family-wife and daughter-after turning down two proposals coming from Portugal, as head coach, and one in Morocco, as assistant coach.

The names of the teams were not revealed.

Everything happens at a time when former coach Beto Bianchi, also former coach of Petro de Luanda, is appointed as the successor of Ivo Campos at Interclube.
