At the 11 de Novembro stadium, fans pulled out and threw chairs into the rectangle of play due to a penalty kick in favor of Petro de Luanda, which was losing at the time by 1-0 in the 35th minute, after a second goal cancelled to Sagrada, for an alleged foul on a defender of Petro de Luanda.
The ministry said in a statement that it "vehemently rejects the episodes of anti-sportsmanship and vandalism that occurred throughout this game," and recommended that "legal and administrative steps be taken to find those responsible for these acts.
It adds that "the bodies responsible for security and public order should investigate and punish, in an exemplary manner, the perpetrators" and that "the users of sports facilities should refrain from committing acts of this nature.
As a result of the protests, the game was interrupted for more than 15 minutes, due to the withdrawal of players and staff of the Angolan champions from the lawn.
The recommendation to open the investigation comes at a time when the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, congratulated Sagrada Esperança for winning the title.
"My congratulations to the players, technical team and fans of Sagrada Esperança for winning the Girabola 2020/2021. Great are those who work hard to deserve the victory," said the Angolan leader.
Sagrada Esperança, with 70 points, won the title on Saturday after beating Petro de Luanda, 1-0, in Luanda.
