Public tender of the Provincial Government of Luanda with nearly 170,000 candidacies

The public tender carried out by the Government of the Province of Luanda (GPL) for the admission and filling of several vacancies in several municipalities and districts received 169,395 applications by the end of July.

According to the director of Human Resources of the Provincial Government and president of the competition's jury, David Loké, these numbers "reflect well the lack of employment in the capital".

The data were advanced during the seventh Ordinary Session, held on July 30 in the GPL's Salão Nobre, during which an assessment of the process was made.

Also according to the official, cited in a statement to which VerAngola had access, the provincial government decided to open vacancies for a public competition due to various reasons that led to a decrease in employees, such as extinction due to retirement, transfer, death and secondments.

A total of 2039 entrance spaces were opened for the entire province. The municipality of Luanda was the only one that was not awarded vacancies "because there is no approved staff", says the document.

Remember that the competition started on the 13th of July, with the deadline for receiving applications being 15 working days, ending on the 4th of August.

According to the data, the municipality of Cazenga with 60,527 is the place with the most candidates enrolled, followed by Kilamba Kiaxi with 32,872, Cacuaco with 21,770, Icolo and Bengo with 10,943, Belas with 9568, Quiçama with 6830 and Viana with 4409. For the GPL headquarters 4670 candidates were registered.
