According to an announcement made last week by the GPL, the "public entrance competition was opened in the general regime for the filling of 2039 vacancies and in the modality of access (promotion) for the filling of 1863 vacancies, resulting from extinction by retirement, transfer, death and termination of contract in the staff of the Government of the Province of Luanda".
In a note published on its Facebook page, GPL said that those interested in applying for the competition should go to "the municipal administrations closest to their homes, where they will have information about the places to receive the documents".
Candidates for the entry mode must meet certain requirements: they must be Angolan citizens, aged no less than 18 and no more than 35.
The more than 2000 vacancies are distributed by several categories and municipalities of the capital. Thus, "the applications must be delivered in the local administrations of each municipality mentioned, through a request, within 15 working days from the date of publication of this notice," says the statement, adding that, in a first phase, the applications must be accompanied by various types of documents, including a copy of ID.
Candidates selected for the second phase of the competition must present other documents, such as their criminal record, medical certificate, IBAN, and others.
As for the mode of access (promotion), which concerns civil servants already working at GPL, the vacancies relate to positions of "advisors, Principal Treasurer, Heavy Class Driver 1st Class, Principal Light Driver, Light Driver 1st Class, Principal Telephonist, Principal Telephonist, and Principal Telephonist, First Class Driver, First Class Operator, First Class Administrative Assistant, First Class Cleaning Assistant, First Class Cleaning Assistant, Qualified Foreman, Qualified Worker 1st Class, Unqualified Foreman, Unqualified Worker 1st Class".
For this modality, the interested parties must present as requirements the "minimum time of service in the category, under the terms established by law; positive performance evaluation in the last 5 years; academic qualifications and be staff members".
